The Consequence Of Not Knowing
One enters life
Being told this and that.
Seeing and hearing
This and that.
He does not know any better.
So he believes it.
He inculcates it.
He interprets the smells as fruits.
He interprets the sounds as truth.
It will be years
Before he begins to recognize
The errors of his ways.
Those years
Will never return.
The suffering of those years
Will never be undone.
The decades that have been wasted
Will never be given back to him.
Man does not realize
The Consequence
Of Not Knowing.
One is never in his life
Given the Truth.
He is given only
Worldly notions.
Thus,
The world and its people
Live a life
Of turmoil and suffering.
What would a man give
To Know.
What would a man give
To have the possibility
To avoid wasting his life.
What would a man give
To sidestep
A life of suffering.
Is there a thing more valuable
Than The Truth.
Is there a life more fortunate
Than a life of Knowing.
Man lives a life
Of endless assault.
Assault
From all sides.
Because he has been taught
That X is Y.
And A is B.
Because he believes
That up is down.
And right is left.
If one does not Know
The workings of a machine
He is sure to be maimed.
Man lives his life
Believing that he knows.
And each day of his life
Reminds him otherwise.
What sort of fate
Could be worse
Than not knowing.
This is the fate
Man is born into
When he enters the world.
A man who Knows
Has a fighting chance.
A man who does not
Is born a slave.
Namaste.
