The Amazing Human

The Human

Is an amazing creature.

 

Throughout history

He has through various domains

Demonstrated his enormous capacity.

 

His imagination,

His innate power,

His limitless potential . . .

 

This Amazing Human

Has largely become extinct.

 

The extinction

Has continued

Since he came into being.

 

In each generation

The extinction is the norm,

Punctuated by an occasional exception.

 

The Human

Is created

As an Amazing creature.

 

Yet like the automobile

Whose value plummets

The moment it leaves the dealership,

The Human loses its power

The moment it makes contact with society.

 

Each Human

Is created with an amazing possibility.

Which will Never

Come to fruition.

 

For the flea market

That is The World

Will swallow him whole.

 

The books,

Media,

Experts,

Dogmas,

Concepts,

Rituals,

Beliefs,

And tenets

Eviscerate the Human.

 

The World

Is a conditioning machine.

 

And essentially No Human

Escapes its tentacles.

 

The Human is born

With the capacity for articulation

And intelligence.

 

His exposure to the world,

Its people,

And its experts

Leave him babbling trite and regurgitated  words

That have relevance

Only in the environment from which they were imbibed.

 

The Human is born

With the capacity to prosper.

 

His exposure to the world,

Its people,

And its experts

Leave him struggling

And destitute.

 

The Amazing Human

Is largely nowhere to be found.

 

For he has been captured by the world

And injected with its poisons.

 

Perhaps one or two

Go into hiding.

And escape.

 

Perhaps one or two

Are blessed with a DNA

That rejects the world

On sight.

 

In the absence of this,

The Amazing Human

Does not stand a chance.

 

The World sits atop the surrounding cliffs

Peering into the valley for each new birth.

Shooting its poisonous darts into the human

The moment its feet contact the soil.

 

No Human

Is Free.

 

No Human

Truly Lives.

 

No Human

Knows Truth.

 

This is by no means

The result of a limited capacity.

But by a world that sealed his fate

The moment he was born.

 

The World

Is for common people

That it can imprison

In its invisible fence.

 

It will not allow the Human

To stray beyond its boundaries.

 

The Amazing Human

Lives only in theory.

 

With the exception of one or two

That by Destiny or DNA

Manage to escape its grasp.

 

A man may look around his room

And he will not find

The signs of The Amazing Human.

 

He will find

Only the World.
