Why Truth Rarely Enters A Human

The Truth

Is the Truth.

 

It is the only thing

That works.

 

Because it is the only thing

There is.

 

But the fact is,

Truth is irrelevant

To almost all humans.

 

Because they do not have

The ears for it.

 

It is too contrary

To all they have ever known.

 

It is too far

From their place of living.

 

It is too deep.

And too wild.

 

It may be said,

That for the vast majority

There is no point in hearing it.

 

If a Truth is spoken,

The man responds to the words

In the same way that he has responded

To all the words

He has heard up to that point.

 

He does not see

What was laid before him.

 

He does not hear

What was said.

 

He has heard garbage

All his life.

 

He has uttered garbage

In response.

 

If Truth is spoken to him,

He will view it as but a strange new form

Of the sounds he is accustomed to hearing.

 

Thus,

He will respond

With garbage.

 

The Truth

Differs wildly from all he has ever heard.

Not only in its content,

But primarily in the places from which it arises.

 

This fact alone,

Is an Understanding

All its own.

 

Man’s entire life

Has been a reflexive existence.

 

And he is not to be blamed

For this.

 

For all that he has ever heard

Is worth nothing other

Than a garbage, reflexive response.

Which begot another.

Which begot another.

Which begot another . . .

 

His entire life

Has been a life of hearing sounds.

Sounds in the form of words.

Words that were nothing more

Than two tin cans clanking together.

 

It is not that he should shut his mouth

And listen to the Truth.

 

Shutting his mouth

Will not allow the Truth to enter.

 

Because he has no framework for it.

There is no receptor in his brain

To receive the words of Truth.

 

For the brain,

Like the human himself,

Is an adaptive element.

 

It adapts

According to the demands

Placed upon it.

 

It adapts

According to the nature

In which it has been used.

 

It has adapted

To lies,

Garbage,

And nonsense.

 

This is all

It has ever heard.

 

Thus,

It has become expertly adapted

To thinking and responding

To lies,

Garbage,

And nonsense.

 

When one day,

Out of the blue,

It hears words of Truth,

It naturally and understandably

Views this as more of the same types of sounds

It has always heard.

 

Thus,

The humans responds

In the same way he has always responded

To lies, garbage, and nonsense.

 

A man cannot expect himself

To respond in a different way.

 

A man cannot force himself

To hear Truth.

 

But there is something within him

Beyond the brain.

 

There are corridors within him

That lay pure and unconditioned.

 

If and when he is moved

By words of Truth,

He has a possibility.

 

He has a possibility

To understand

What has happened to him.

 

In this way,

There is a possibility

To move away from lies,

Garbage,

And nonsense.

 

And toward

The words

Of Truth.
